TRAIN IN CYCLES · NO COUNTDOWN
Some moves take calculation at first. With practice, you begin to recognise them. Return to the same positions, understand why each solution works and train yourself to spot those ideas in your own games.

Choose your level and solve a set of 30 positions. Take your time and review the solution on the board: what is threatened, which move works and why.
Repeat the same positions in the same order. We suggest four cycles, and you can keep going afterwards. Stop when you need to and pick up where you left off.
Compare unassisted solves, mistakes and thinking time across cycles. Time helps you track your progress; there is no deadline for solving a position.
Practise positions from real games by Alekhine, Capablanca, Morphy and other great names in chess history. Each exercise includes the players, event and year to place the position in its original game.
Start with master checkmates. Rush64 Pro adds collections and levels, including mixed sets with material gains and defensive resources.
Repetition aims to make patterns familiar so you can spot opportunities more naturally. Understanding an idea and finding it again may help you make fewer tactical mistakes: a valuable skill if you want to improve your Elo.
Improvement depends on your practice and how you apply it in games. No specific Elo gain is guaranteed; cycles do not change your Rush64 rating either.
This mode draws on the repetition-based training popularised by Hans Tikkanen and Axel Smith in The Woodpecker Method: returning to the same set of exercises to reinforce tactical patterns. Rush64 adapts that idea to sessions at your own pace, without a countdown.
Rush64 is an independent product, with no affiliation or endorsement from the authors or publisher. Positions are selected from historical games and explanations are our own; the book’s exercise collection and text are not reproduced.
Open Coach → Train in cycles. Your first set of 30 positions is free with a free account.
Repeat your free set as often as you like. More collections and levels are available with Rush64 Pro.
